TEA PARTY TEDDYTEA PARTY TEDDY by Dianne Harman
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was a very interesting book. I received it as a gift and I could not keep myself from turning the pages. I'm not much into "political things" and when I first saw the title (without the cover picture) I wondered if maybe it was a story gifted for my daughter about a teddy bear at a tea party. I understand why the movement calls itself a "tea party", but when I was growing up a "tea party" was something you did with little plastic dishes and that is what I think of first when I see the words. I sat up till 1:00 am last night finishing the book. It is almost like a great mystery novel. The question? How will Tea Party Teddy doom himself. (I kind of figured it out from the chapter at the rally that this dude was going down and hard, but I just had to see how). Lots of complex twists and turns. Sometimes you are given events from the past and then sometimes a current event, but in the end you see how it all pans out. I could tell that it was all fictional, there is even a disclaimer at the front of the book, but it was fun to read. Some may say Teddy was written as a character to hate and I would agree, but there are, unfortunately, real people in the world that have nothing but hate for another group of people and it can get out of control when these two groups are in the same area. Anyone remember the national news when the woman got stomped in Kentucky during that political rally? Politics of any kind can get heated. When reading it, just keep in mind that it is a fictional work with the extremes of the norm being featured. Not my usual read, but it is worth reading if you get a copy.
